This was also the 4th apartment of the complex that we have upgraded, where by the system has been progressed to other areas of each apartment.
Recently Avisio installed a number of systems to 6 apartments in Fitzrovia in the Heart of London where the developer wanted to make the apartments stand out from others in the area. We were tasked with developing a proposal that delivered a solution with strict budget constraints yet still providing a user friendly, cost effective experience expected in high end apartments. We proposed a Control 4 system and when presented to the developer against the Crestron alternative he immediately chose our solution as it delivered the experience he was looking for. On completion all apartments were fully automated with multi room audio, HD visual, Heating, lighting and Blind control. All apartments were linked to a 2N access control system displayed on a Control 4 touch screen enabling residents to be notified wherever they were in the world if someone called their apartment and even allow access from a mobile device should they choose.
The initial system offered a limited amount of control and functionality and following the sale of each apartment to the resident we attend to configure the system to their requirements and outlined what opportunities there were to upgrade the systems. After the initial setup most residents then employed us to enhance the systems to various degrees and below is a brief of one of the apartments and additional works.

Find out moreThe TV fitted at the hand over relocated to the bedroom and a new customer supplied LG OLED TV was fitted in the lounge complete with Sonos soundbar and subwoofer all integrated into control 4 solution. The existing wall speakers were also relocated to bedroom as these were no longer needed following the installation of the soundbar.
The existing lounge TV was fitted on a flat wall bracket and connected to a new HD matrix enabling all input sources to be viewed at all TV locations independently. We reconfigured the main control equipment to provide audio from the Sonos amp previously connected to the lounge and DLS wall speakers. The whole room was then added to the control4 project allowing control using a Control 4 SR260 remote control.
Two DLS wall speakers to match the rest of the apartment were fitted along with a Sonos connect amplifier and added to the Control 4 system.
Audio was provided by 2 x Sonos play 1 speakers and paired to work as a stereo system again connected to control 4 but controlled via an APP. All 6 apartments were sold and through a close working relationship with the developer and our involvement from the inception of the project we were able to assist deliver a highly successful project on time and within budget. We also managed to exceed the expectations of the developer with the final system providing a far greater amount of control than expected.
